Ethel Walker Birthday Song

Can’t you see that it’s amazing?
There’s a need to celebrate
Baby, it’s Ethel Walker’s birthday
A hundred years of fun
Think of all the memories
Pretend they’ve just begun
Like fun at the induction
Maybe we can keep them
Just think of all those good times
Pretend they’ll never slip away
And we could pretend it all the time
Can’t you see it’s just amazing?
There’s a need to celebrate

Just maybe, think of a Sunday morning
Maybe a day in May
Really don’t mind the meals here
Cause my friends are there with me
I love them as they love me
Cause the friendships here last endlessly
We could stay on campus
Pretend that there’s no world outside
We could pretend it all the time
Can’t you see it’s just amazing?
There’s a need to celebrate
There’s a need, there’s a need
Stay or go; and I don’t mind

Time is ticking
Passing quickly, it’s too early
Just take it slow
Let us tell you, though some may stay
And some may go
We’ll meet right here; and that is enough
It’s so crazy
When a hundred years of memories
Have passed so that those who have been here can see
Take it slow, yeah take it slow

It’s Ethel Walker’s birthday
A hundred years of fun
Think of all the memories
Pretend they’ve just begun
Like fun at the induction
Maybe we can keep them
Just think of all those good times
Pretend they’ll never slip away
And we could pretend it all the time
Can’t you see it’s just amazing?
There’s a need to celebrate
There’s a need, there’s a need
Stay or go, but I really really really don’t mind
Can’t you see, can’t you see
You’ve got to take it slow
