Financial Aid Process
The Ethel Walker School is committed to building a diverse community of students. We recognize that not every family has the financial ability to afford the full cost of a Walker's education. Our financial aid program is designed to help make Walker's affordable to qualified students who are offered admission.
Financial aid is a general term for tuition assistance awarded by the School and is used to help bridge the gap between a family's ability to pay for a Walker's education and the tuition cost.
All financial aid is based on need, as determined by the Financial Aid Committee and the Parents' Financial Statement filed with School and Student Services for Financial Aid, and is subject to the availability of funds.
For financial aid information and applications, please visit sss.nais.org.
Payment plans are also available to accommodate your family's needs.
Financial Aid applications for the upcoming academic year are available online at sss.nais.org.
Priority deadline for filing an application for admission.
February 15 is the priority deadline for financial aid applications. Families complete the Parent Financial Statement (PFS) and submit it to the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) online at sss.nais.org. Walker's school code is 3076. Copies of your federal income tax returns and all supporting schedules, W-2s and 1099s must be uploaded to SSS where they add to your financial aid application.
Notification of admission decisions (Round One). Enrollment contracts are mailed with notification of acceptance. Your financial aid award will be mailed with the acceptance packet if we have received a completed financial aid application and your family has been determined to qualify for need-based aid.
If we do not have a completed financial aid application at the time we mail acceptance packets, we will mail the financial aid award letter within two weeks of receiving a completed FA application including all required supporting documents.
Signed enrollment contract, tuition payment agreement and deposit for 2013-2014 academic year are due to Walker's for all new students accepted in Round One.
