School Store

Diddle's Depot The campus store, Diddle’s Depot, is actually named for Ethel Walker herself! Her young niece often mispronounced "Ethel," and it often came out as "Diddle". When that niece enrolled at Walker’s, she had difficulty giving up her childhood name for her beloved aunt and the moniker was eventually widely adopted by other students and even by Ethel Walker Smith’s husband, "Dr. Terry."

Located on the lower level of Beaver Brook Academic Center, next to the Noyes Social Center, Diddle's is a hub of activity. Here, students may purchase school supplies, Walker's casual wear, snacks, gifts, and more. The store offers personal services such as laundry and dry-cleaning, as well as check cashing, and also acts as a Post Office for the students' convenience.

Textbooks may be ordered online. Prior to the start of class, Walker's teachers submit course and corresponding book lists to MBS Direct.

The store encourages all students to maintain a personal debit account, which can be replenished easily at any time by cash, check or credit card. Diddle's Depot accepts Discover, American Express, Master Card and Visa.
