At Walker's since: Freshman year

Why I chose Walker’s: I chose Walker's because I loved the close-knit sense of community that I felt the very first time I stepped on the property. I fell in love with the campus, and the teachers and students were so friendly and welcoming. I couldn't see myself as a student anywhere else but Walker's.
Favorite class: Equine Studies was my favorite class because I was able to learn about something that truly interests me. I found that I could use the information I obtained inside and outside of the classroom.
Leadership positions: I am a Cicerone, a Proctor, a member of Judish, co-head of Dance Workshop and co-head of the Old Girl/New Girl program.
Clubs/extracurricular activities: I am a part of Habitat for Humanity, Christian Club, and the Black & Latina Student Union.
Sports:  I dance and play tennis.
Something new I’ve tried at Walker’s: I was able to go on a trip to Georgia with our Habitat for Humanity club to help build a new home.
Favorite spot on campus: My favorite place on campus is the Chapel.
Favorite food/meal in Abra’s Dining Hall: The basil, tomato and mozzarella sandwiches are my favorite food at Abra's.
Future plans/goals: I plan to go to college and major in biology. Then, I want to further my education in graduate school and do internships in order to eventually become a veterinarian.
How being at Walker’s has changed me: Walker's has helped me to become more sure of myself and my abilities. Overall, I have become a stronger and more confident young woman through my experiences at Walker's.
The most important/valuable thing I’ve learned at Walker’s: I think the most important thing that I have learned at Walker's is the importance of integrity and the vitality of taking responsibility for one's actions.
Walker’s in three words: Supportive, diverse, home
