At Walker’s since: Freshman year

Why I chose Walker’s: I chose Walker's because out of all the schools I had toured, this campus felt most welcoming, and it also gave me feeling like I was arriving to my second home.
Favorite class: Surprisingly, I would say that my favorite class is Latin. I started off a little shaky in Latin 1 as a freshman and did not think that now, as a senior, I would be taking AP Latin. This goes to show that with hard work and teachers being flexible with their time you can accomplish anything you set your mind to!
Leadership positions: I am currently Head of The Cicerone Society, Co-Head of Italian Club, and President of the Student Body.
Clubs/extracurricular activities: I participate in many clubs: Habitat for Humanity, Circle of Helping Hands (Knitting Club), Italian Club, The Cicerone Society, Step Club, Black and Latina Student Union, Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, and Musical Theater.
Sports: I play Varsity Basketball in the Winter Season.
Something new I’ve tried at Walker’s: Something new for me was running for leaderships my second year of high school. Freshman year I was a little nervous to run, because I was unsure of the outcome and of course did not want to lose. However, after completing various freshman courses such as public speaking, I began to gain more confidence and tended not to worry so much about a negative outcome, and to just focus on the task at hand.
Favorite spot on campus: The Social Center is where everyone can come together and breathe for a second through our crazy hectic lives that we love here at Walker's.
Favorite food/meal in Abra’s Dining Hall: My favorite meal in Abra's is the Caesar Salad!
Future plans/goals: I plan to major in either Communications/PR, Education, or Pre-Law. I do know that I would want to minor in Political Science.
How being at Walker’s has changed me: Walker's has restored my confidence that I had lost along the way. It reiterates lessons that you learn as a child from your parents, and when you think that you have no one to talk to, all one needs to do is turn around because there are about 240 other girls that you can reach out to without being judged.
The most important/valuable thing I’ve learned at Walker’s: The most important thing that I have learned at Walker's is to simply never give up. This goes for inside the class room, but also down to the playing fields or even in theater.
Walker’s in three words: Uplifting, Beneficial, Glorious
