Join celebrity baker Buddy Valastro for an evening of cakes, stories, and fun. In this rare live, interactive event, TLC's Cake Boss will share the stories behind his hit series and his colorful Italian family, answer audience questions, and give a live demonstration of the techniques that have made him one of the most successful and renowned cake artists in the nation. Buddy has a big personality, and an even bigger heart! Bring the whole family for a night with the Cake Boss. 25 Orchestra seats are reserved, $47 each.

Wendy Wheeler Smith '87
When you meet Wendy Smith, you don’t think she would know a lot about failure; but that is the topic this Walker's graduate ('87) brought to students this past fall. Wendy has a BA from Hamilton College and a Masters from NYU; she seems to epitomize success. Currently, Wendy is the President of SchoolHouse Kitchen, an all-natural food company with a mission of generating profits for educational causes.

The Alumnae Board’s goal this year is to connect, communicate and collaborate with you! Not only do we have some great regional events planned, but also hope to take advantage of digital channels to be in touch. The Alumnae Board is working with Tyler Varsell, EWS Webmaster and Web Presence Coordinator, and Sarah Edson, EWS Academic Technology Analyst to make Walker’s website more accessible and user friendly. We are also ramping up our use of social media such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
