Daily Bus Transportation for Day Students

Bus transportation at The Ethel Walker SchoolWalker's offers a daily bus transportation service for day students. The 2018-2019 fee for the service is $800 per child per semester (billed at the beginning of each semester, once in September and once in January) or approximately $10 per day. Mornings

  • 7:15 a.m. pick up at Bishops Corner, West Hartford in front of Walgreens with arrival at EWS by approximately 7:45 a.m.
    (Classes begin at 8:15 a.m.)
  • Due to the later start of 9:00 a.m. on Thursdays, pick up on Thursday will be at 8:00 a.m. with arrival at EWS by approximately 8:30 a.m.

Evenings

  • The vehicle will leave Beaver Brook at 6:00 p.m. with arrival at Walgreens, Bishops Corner, West Hartford by approximately 6:30 p.m.
  • Students not picked up by 6:35 p.m. will return to EWS with the driver for parent/guardian pick-up at Beaver Brook

Additional Information

  • There will be no bus services offered on days when classes are not in session due to regular scheduled days off, weather-related closings or other unplanned school closings.
  • There may be times when the evening drop off schedule is modified to accommodate required events or inclement weather.
  • Notices about special schedules or timing changes will be posted in Walker's Weekly (email) and on this bus transportation page.
