Softball - Varsity
Walker’s softball program competes in the Founders League, and, in a larger context, the Western New England Prep School Girls Softball Association (WNEPSGSA). Despite Walker's size (designated a "B" school), the team competes against many of the "A" schools on an annual basis, including Westminster, Choate, and Taft. Their schedule also includes "B" opponents like Kingswood Oxford, Wilbraham-Monson and Miss Hall's.
Walker’s softball team won the Western New England Class “B” Championship in 2013 and 2015. Walker’s consistently competes for the top spot within the league.
Prior to the season, the softball team often takes a spring training trip to Disney's Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida. The trips enable the group to grow as a unified team and to practice softball while the weather is still cold in Connecticut. At Disney, the girls have an opportunity to play against some of the top programs in the country.
Walker’s also regularly hosts the New England Prep School Softball All Star Game.
