Involvement: Soccer, Skiing, Personal Fitness, Junior Peer Tutoring, Big/Little Program
“Hi! My name is Amanda and I came to Walker’s as a freshman. By being a Cicerone, I hope to show prospective students and families all of the opportunities Walker’s has to offer, as well as the positive impact it has on its students!”
My favorite class is science, because I love interactive classes with hands-on activities. In science classes, there is always something new to do each day.
A unique experience that I’ve had at Walker’s that I didn’t think I would be involved in when arriving is joining the ski team. Before Walker’s, I had never raced before, and if I had not attended Walker’s, I wouldn’t have been able to try! It is now one of my favorite things to do!
My favorite part of a typical day at Walker’s is sports practice, whether it is soccer, skiing, or personal fitness. Not only are practices fun, but they are also a great way to get to know different people. Having practice at the end of the day is always a great thing to look forward to!
I think the biggest benefit of attending school at Walker’s is all of the opportunities to try new things. From trying a new food in Abra’s to playing a new sport, there is always an opportunity to try something new. I think that if I hadn’t come to Walker’s, I would not have been able to try as many new things.
