“Hi prospective students and families! My name is Ashlyn and I came to Walker’s my junior year. Being a Cicerone is important to me because I get to share the school that I love with other people who might be interested in attending Walker’s. When you visit, I aim to show you the parts of this school that make it feel like home to me.”

What advice would you give an incoming Walker’s student?

Ask your teachers about their experiences because they have a lot of wisdom to share and love helping students out.

How do you feel you have grown since your first day at Walker’s?

I feel that my writing skills have grown tremendously since my first day at Walker’s. Last year, I was able to take a writing portfolio class that allowed me to try out different writing styles and create a portfolio of all my work from the semester. I also feel that my confidence has grown since my first day at Walker’s. This can be attributed to having to meet all new people when I arrived and getting out of my comfort zone in classes such as Acting.

How do you think Walker’s has prepared you for your future?

The college counseling course at Walker’s has helped me in my college search and application process. Walker’s has also prepared me for the level of academics I will face in the future.
