“My name is Ceci and I joined Walker’s at the start of my junior year. Being a Cicerone helps prospective families learn about and understand Walker’s as a school, and as a community. I hope to help each prospective family appreciate Walker’s the way everyone on campus already does.”
My favorite class is English. Unlike other schools, Walker’s chooses relevant novels to teach that most of the students here can relate to. With the required literature classics, Walker’s finds new and interesting ways to teach and test our knowledge on them.
The school spirit at Walker’s was something that I did not expect and was a bit surprised by when I first arrived. After getting over the initial shock of the intensity of school spirit, I joined in as well!
My favorite part of a typical day at Walker’s would be spending my free periods in Abra’s and the Ward and Williams Center with my friends.
I would advise to not be too stressed out about joining a new school, whatever grade you may be. Through my own experience the students at Walker’s have proven to be kind people who accept any type of person they meet.
The biggest benefit of attending Walker’s would be the amount of support from your teachers and advisor that you receive. Having adults who will always listen to you is very beneficial to the students.
Walker’s has helped me become a better version of myself. Having friends that I feel fully comfortable around has allowed me to grow into a much better person.
Walker’s has prepared me for my future by creating courses to help me narrow down what I would want to do in my career and help prepare myself for the college application process. These courses have been very helpful in preparing me for my future.
My favorite thing to do in my free time is to spend time with my friends and family. Whether it be taking walks, playing tennis, or just doing nothing, I always enjoy being around those I care about.
