“My name is Joey and I will be entering the 10th grade this fall. Being a Cicerone was something I’ve wanted to do since September! I think being a Cicerone is so special because when I had a tour of the school, my Cicerones made Walker’s so special. I want to be able to do the same thing. I want people to see that Walker’s is so unique. The community here is so opening and welcoming and I want them to see why Walker’s is the place to be!”
I loved the cultures represented when joining. From the Asian assembly to the Black History Month assembly, we are able to learn more about others’ cultures and history!
I love being able to sit with the coaches by Diddle’s in between classes when I have a break. We always share how our day has been and are constantly laughing.
The best advice I can give is to not be shy. While that can be hard in a new environment, Walker’s is extremely welcoming. Everyone’s nice and always ready to be friends, help you find places like the classroom you need to be in, or how to do simple things like how to transfer money onto your laundry card.
Walker’s is one of the biggest confidence boosters. I know that since I’ve been here, I’ve gained so much confidence. The girls in this community are so loving and will be so quick to compliment each other.
