“Hi! My name is Kenzie and I joined the Walker’s community my sophomore year. I think being a Cicerone is important because it gives me the opportunity to share my favorite parts of Walker’s with prospective students and families. I have learned and grown in so many ways since coming here, and I want to be able to share my love for the school with everyone! Coming to Walker’s was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made and I hope to show people everything Walker’s has to offer.”
My favorite part of my typical day at Walker’s is co-curricular time. I love when I get to go down to the athletic fields with my friends and teammates to play soccer. I look forward to it because not only is it my favorite sport but also because I’m playing with people that support me and will stand with me whether we win or lose.
My advice would be to push yourself out of your comfort zone and try new things. There is nothing more rewarding than learning and growing through first-time experiences. Try a sport you’ve never thought of doing or take a class that you’ve never heard of before. There is no better community in which to try new things!
I think the biggest benefit of attending Walker’s is the people you meet. I have met some of my very best friends coming to Walker’s, whether it’s from playing sports, learning in the classroom, or being dorm room neighbors! The connections and friendships I’ve made from being a part of this community have been unmatched.
