“Hi! I’m Kyla, and I came to Walker’s in the seventh grade. Cicerones are important because they show Walker’s from a student’s point of view. My tour with a Cicerone was key to my decision in attending Walker’s and I know it is for many others as well. As a Cicerone, I hope I’m able to show how amazing Walker’s is and help make the decision a little easier.”
My favorite class is definitely History. The subject has always been an interest of mine, as I love to look at the different patterns in history. At Walker’s, we are able to discuss different opinions on historical or political events in our history classes. This has made me a more open-minded person and has helped me look at others’ perspectives.
I have gained more confidence in my abilities as a person. When I first came to Walker’s I was scared to talk in class as I believed my answers were wrong or my questions were dumb. But during my time at Walker’s, my teachers helped me realize that it was okay to ask for help. I have grown academically and have seized more opportunities such as running for student government.
It’s hard to pick one favorite thing to do in my free time. Some of my favorite things include drawing, hiking, skiing, watching Marvel or Star Wars movies, and baking!
