“I came to Walker’s as a freshman. I think Cicerones are important because we help prospective families get an insight into our community. Personally, I enjoy highlighting the different aspects of Walker’s that make attending the school a unique experience.”
My favorite class I have taken is Geometry. Generally, I am a math/science-oriented person, and I specifically liked Geometry because I had a great class and teacher.
Until this past year, I hadn’t tried a new sport since I was six. I started playing lacrosse, and I really enjoyed learning a new sport for the first time in a while. I ended up really liking lacrosse and had a lot of fun on the team.
I feel that I have become more independent and responsible since coming to Walker’s. Being at school a majority of the day, I am now fully responsible for certain things my parents used to help me with, like making sure I have time to eat breakfast, finish homework, etc. I have also gotten much better at managing my time during the day. I’m usually at school from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Because of this, I had to learn to use my free time during the day to my advantage to complete most of my homework.
I have already noticed how much more willing I am to try new things, and how much more outgoing I have become. These are both important characteristics to have when going to college, and eventually having a job someday.
