“Hi, my name is Sarah, I live in Southwick, Massachusetts, and I am going to be a sophomore this coming year. As a freshman this past year, I participated in soccer and basketball at the varsity level and joined two clubs. Cicerones are of much importance to Walker’s because we show prospective students the ropes of being a Walker’s girl. We aim to show prospective families how Walker’s works on a daily basis, and how students function throughout the school year. We also try to answer all questions you might have about the curriculum, sports, or even decision making.”

What advice would you give an incoming Walker’s student?

I would give the advice to immerse yourself as soon as possible. Clubs are open to everyone, so find one that you like and join it. You will meet so many people that way and your incoming year will be so much more rich in social aspects and involvement in the community.

What do you think is the biggest benefit of attending Walker’s?

I think the attention to detail is a very big benefit of being a Walker’s girl. My advisor is always checking in, and the class sizes are small so that there can be individual attention whether you’re struggling or excelling.

How do you feel you have grown since your first day at Walker’s?

I have grown in my confidence of being me, whether that’s in my own opinions, or shrugging off someone else’s. Walker’s has really taught me that being me is great and I should always be myself no matter who’s around.
