“My name is Susannah, I’m from Weston, Massachusetts, and coming to Walker’s as a freshman was one of the best decisions I’ve made. The community is unlike any school I’ve seen and is filled with continuous support, spirit, and a sense of belonging. I became a Cicerone at the end of my freshman year because I want to show prospective families what an amazing place Walker’s is!”
History, because I love learning about the world and analyzing how events and decisions of the past continue to influence the present and the future.
I was not a runner before coming to Walker’s – in fact, I hated running. By my sophomore year, I decided to challenge myself and join the cross country team and fell in love with the sport. At any other school, I would not have felt comfortable and supported trying a new sport; however, the team welcomed me and pushed me to be the best runner I could be. Running is now my favorite sport hands down! I’m thankful that I go to a school that encourages me to try new things!
It is all about being a part of the community. It can be scary to leave your home, but you’re apart of a new family. At Walker’s, I love living with my friends and being able to see and talk to my teachers outside the classroom and develop stronger relationships with them!
