Middle School Public Speaking Workshop

June 23, 2021 @ 4:00 pm 4:45 pm

Giving a presentation in class, a speech to a large group while you are running for a leadership position, or an announcement to the whole school about an issue you are interested in to convince others to join your cause all require public speaking skills. Why mention these things? Because The Ethel Walker Middle School students do all three. Knowing how to write and deliver a persuasive speech just might be the most important skill you can develop in today’s world. It will also help you convince adults (yes, even your parents) that you are a very responsible person and should be able to do things that responsible kids should be allowed to do! This workshop will be taught by Walker’s Public Speaking, English, and History teacher Carol Clark-Flanagan P’93, ’97.
