SUMMARY:Passionate Pursuits with Head of School Dr. Meera Viswanathan: "Teahouse of the January Moon"
DESCRIPTION:This is the whimsical story of a 40th birthday folly that birthed a traditional Japanese teahouse and garden set in Matunuck\, RI. The cast of characters includes one love-besotted husband\, one semi-delusional Ivy League professor\, one brilliant post and beam barn builder infatuated with diverse international cultures\, a manic Korean landscape garden architect\, and a local fisherman who each winter emerged as the moss whisperer.  \n\n\n\nEnjoy with us the pleasures of Japanese garden design that brought together this unlikely band and gave life to a dream! During our time together\, we will look at traditional tea gardens from Kyoto\, Japanese medieval poetry\, tea ceremony and Zen aesthetics\, and how these might be adapted to North American gardening.  \n\n\n\n\nRegister
