B.S., Skidmore College

Justin brings an eclectic background to The Ethel Walker School. A graduate of Kingswood Oxford School, Justin entered the financial services field after graduating from Skidmore College. He accumulated a number of then-NASD financial licenses, including Series 6, 7, 63 licenses, as well as Life, Health, and Accident Insurance licenses. He also obtained the designation of Certified Retirement Counselor. After five years of assisting adults with their investment options, Justin decided to switch to assisting students in the inner-city with achieving their dreams of attending private high schools and ultimately graduating from colleges. He did so through two non-profits in Connecticut for a total of five years. Justin then entered the junior boarding school world in Massachusetts for two years before heading south and teaching/coaching in Savannah, Georgia for three years. Passionate to start his own business, Justin then transitioned into the entrepreneurial world. Justin is excited to be back in the educational world at Walker’s and looks forward to sharing his experiences and passions with the community.

What other roles do you hold on campus?

JV Basketball Head Coach, Varsity Softball Assistant Coach, Dorm Affiliate

What was it about Walker’s that made you want to work here?

Its strong sense of community and student-centered ethos.

What was your favorite subject when you were in middle or high school? Why?

My favorite class in high school was Political Science. Not because of the content, but because of the passion and excitement that the professor brought to the classroom each day. I hope to inspire our students in math the same way she did for me.

Why did you want to go into teaching?

To help inspired learners become inspiring leaders.
