Walker's Celebrates Opening of New Paddocks with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

On Wednesday, December 20, members of the Walker's community gathered at the site of the new paddocks for a brief ribbon cutting ceremony. In fall 2017, Walker's constructed a beautiful, larger turn-out area in the heart of the open fields directly across from the Frank O.H. Williams Barn featuring 14 individual paddocks of larger and varied sizes. Each is equipped with a Nelson automatic horse waterer to provide a constant supply of fresh drinking water for Walker's horses in all seasons.

Remarks were made by Head of School Meera Viswanathan, who recognized Consultant Tim Reny, Superintendent of Grounds Tony Ranaldi P'18, '20 and his team, Michael Waidlick of East-West Arena Construction, Thom Knowlton of Milone & MacBroom, Barn Manager Sarah Cassis, and Assistant Director of Riding/Riding Instructor Randi Booth. A ceremonial ribbon was cut by Riding Co-Heads Laurel Gaddis '18 and Isabel Lardner '18 to signify the opening of the paddocks.
