Walker's equestrians spent two weeks competing in the Lake Placid Horse Show and I Love New York Horse Show, two of the country's most prestigious equestrian events held June 26-July 8 in Lake Placid, New York.
Walker's alumnae Sheriden Beard '14 and Hannah Tuckner '14 won the 2018 Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) National Championship on the Skidmore College Varsity Riding Team, competing with the top 16 teams in the country.

On Saturday, February 24, Walker's equestrian team traveled to Oak Meadow Farm in East Windsor to compete against 13 other teams in the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) Zone 1 Region 8 Semi-Finals. All team members rode very well against intense competition, earning the high school team 39 points and the title of Regional Champion.
Renowned trainers Linda Langmeier and alumna Joanna "Jo" Seaver '99 have been appointed to lead Walker's preeminent Equestrian Program, bringing their world-class training to prepare team members for the national stage and to welcome even the newest riders to the program.
On Wednesday, December 20, members of the Walker's community gathered at the site of the new paddocks for a brief ribbon cutting ceremony.
On October 14, Walker's hosted a home Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) horse show. The Upper School team was champion with a total of 23 points out of six teams, and the Middle School team was reserve champion in the middle school division.
