Ethel Walker School
Walker’s volleyball program competes in the Western New England Prep School Association (WNEPSA), a division of the The New England Prep School Athletic Council (NEPSAC). Walker’s is a Class “B” division competitor, and also competes in the prestigious Founders League. League competitors include Choate, Taft, Hotchkiss, Loomis, Kingswood Oxford, and Miss Porter’s.

Walker’s Varsity Volleyball had a fun and challenging year back in competition following a season without interschool play. The team overall went 2-13 in 2021, working hard and showing a lot of grit bringing four of those games into five nailbiter sets. The team was led by senior captains Rori Arnold and Holiday Awe, in addition to our two setters who consistently led the team on the court during matches, Ally Hussey and Jordan Hedges.
The team faced several injuries over the course of this season and proved to be adaptable in changing positions, trying new rotations, and in adjusting to different leadership among the team as captains, setters, and major point contributors were forced to sit out practices and games. This year we are graduating six seniors, who will be greatly missed, and whose positive influence will stay with our returning players as we go into our next season.
