Walker's Prepared Me To Be...

Walker's girls of all generations travel a path of self-discovery and uncover things about themselves that embody who they are and prepare them for who they are meant to be.

While much in our world changes, one thing remains the same - at Walker's, girls learn, grow and lead in their own way.

"Walker's inquisitive and supportive learning community of girls and women transformed me into the confident leader I am today. Last summer, I was selected as one of thirty girls from the US to travel to Rwanda to the first ever international STEAM camp for girls sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, Microsoft, and many others. I hope to combine my interest in science with my passion for social justice in the study of global health."

"Being a Walker's girl has opened my eyes to what is possible. Walker's is a place where I an other girls can find our voices and passions, which is empowering. Last summer, I shadowed a dermatologist at her private practice and attended the 2015 National Youth Leadership Forum: Medicine at Hofstra University, which furthered my desire to work in the medical field."

Robotics and STEM at Walker's has exposed me to engineering and inspired me to pursue it as a career. Being a Walker's girl, I know that I am prepared with leadership skills, knowledge and professionalism to be successful in the real world."

"I was encouraged by the science department faculty to complete a summer learning project at Babson College to gain real-world medical experience and explore career opportunities in the expanding field of medicine. In addition to preparing me to be successful academically, Walker's allowed me to remain competitive in my other great passion, athletics."
