Walker’s Plays in 36th Annual Pippy O’Connor Golf Tournament

Walker’s traveled to Auburndale, Massachusetts to compete in the 36th Annual Pippy O’Connor Golf Tournament. The team left campus at 5:30 a.m. to head north to Woodland Golf Club. Coaches Carrington and Davis led the players Avery Bloom ’23, Maddie Connelly ’24, Alexia Grech ’23, and Natalie Stewart ’23 to their 8:30 a.m. tee time.

The team competed in the 9-hole portion of the tournament. Bloom finished in the Top 10.

Coach Carrington reflected on the day: “What a beautiful setting! It was a challenging course with pin placements and rough emulating the US Open. Players also had to deal with a chilly start and a stiff breeze all morning. The coaches were impressed with the team’s grit and hope to use the experience as a stepping stone to next year’s 18-hole tournament.”
