Abi joined the Admission Team in October of 2020 after working in External Affairs as a Web Migration Specialist on the renovation of Walker’s newest website. Abi graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2018, where she studied Communication and was able to spend a semester studying abroad in Florence, Italy. Prior to coming to Walker’s, Abi worked at UConn in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences planning and promoting events, curating social media pages, and editing departmental web pages.
Abi was born with a “travel bug” and loves having the experience of trying new things and meeting new people, which is proving to be helpful in her role in Admission! In everything from taking families on tours, meeting alumnae, and getting to work with current students, faculty, and parents for the many events the Admission Office gets to put on, Abi is able to get to know the entirety of the Walker’s community, and is loving it. In her free time, Abi loves to exercise (outside, if possible), discover new places, bake excessively over-the-top desserts, and make (failing, mostly) DIY Pinterest crafts. Keep an eye out for her on the Simsbury bike path where you may see her running in preparation for the 2021 Hartford Marathon!Read Full Profile
