Zhaohong joins The Ethel Walker School to support the needs of international students and build connections with international student families and alumnae.

Born in Beijing, China, Zhaohong earned her teaching degree from Capital Normal University. She comes to Walker’s with two decades of experience in education (public, charter, and private), including Millbrook School, where she served as Mandarin Chinese Language Teacher, World Language Department Chair, and International Student Program Coordinator.

With a master’s in communication management from Simmons College as well as experience in journalism, Zhaohong brings with her a global world view, a passion for listening, learning, cultural values, and heart-warming home cooking.

What was your favorite subject when you were in middle or high school? Why?
World Geography because I liked learning about the planet Earth.
