Game Summary

Walker’s hosted Greenwich Country Day on Wednesday afternoon and showed great energy right from the opening tip, jumping out to an early lead. Relying on their defense, Walker’s held GCDS to just 9 first quarter points and led 20-9 after eight minutes. Walker’s continued to execute on the offensive and defensive end in the second quarter, using a variety of offensive weapons to make it difficult for GCDS to key in on one player. At halftime, the Wildcats were encouraged to come out with the same intensity in the second half, and they certainly did, scoring the first six points of the third quarter to extend their lead from 18 to 24. Walker’s moves to 11-2 on the season and will travel to play a tough Suffield team on Saturday night at 6.
