Equestrians Compete in Summer Horse Shows

Walker’s equestrians continue to compete throughout the summer, taking home several ribbons in top regional horse shows.

At the prestigious Lake Placid Horse Shows, Ava Strohmeyer ’21 had multiple top placings in the Large Junior Hunters with Vince and ribboned in the 15-17 Equitation on Director of Riding Linda Langmeier’s horse, Lordan. Eva Mazzola ’21 also earned several top ribbons in the Large Junior Hunters on Come Monday. Recent graduate Becky Morris ’19 sped to a sixth place finish in the Adult Jumpers with Je Revel, owned by Isabella Toomey.

Ava Strohmeyer ’21 also competed in the Vermont Summer Festival Horse Show, winning the THIS Medal and finishing second in the USEF Medal during Equitation Tuesday on July 9.

Also in Vermont, Chloe Fares ’24 earned a blue ribbon on Blue Monday, qualifying her for the New England Equitation Finals.
