Game Summary

Ethel Walker fell to Choate on Wednesday, April 23rd in a tough match with a final score of 0-12. Walker’s had several players unable to play due to injury, and the team showed great resilience playing in the heat with almost no substitutions. In the first quarter, Walker’s struggled defensively, with Choate scoring 6 goals. Constance Yu ‘26 was injured and pulled out for the next two quarters. After some defensive adjustments, Walker’s rallied and cut Choate’s goal number in half in the second quarter, with only three goals scored. Choate scored only 3 goals in the whole second half, and Walker’s was able to maintain an effective defense. Maddie Hemmerich ‘27 showed great leadership on defense, and goalie Rebecca Dai ‘27 saved 60% of shots on goal. Despite tough circumstances, Walker’s showed great growth in their defensive abilities.
