vs. Loomis Chaffee School

Game Summary

Ethel Walker lost to the Loomis Chaffee School on Saturday, May 9th in their final home game of the season, with a score of 2-9. Walker’s had a strong first half, and the defensive line particularly showed through. Maddie Hammerich ‘27, and Constance Yu ‘26 led an aggressive defense and Loomis only scored one goal in the first quarter. In the second quarter, Emma Alcoff ‘27, and Amelia Hamel ‘28, scored two goals. In the second half of the game, Walker’s offense struggled to get the ball downfield, with limited opportunities for scoring. Defense incurred some shooting space penalties that resulted in goals, However, goalie Rebecca Dai ‘27, had an excellent game, with 18 saves and a save percentage of 66%. Walker’s then celebrated the two seniors on the team: Sophia Xu ‘26, and Constance Yu ‘26. Both players showed huge growth over their time on the team, and we appreciate their leadership and dedication.
