Away vs. Porter’s– Wednesday, May 13th, Loss 6-13

Ethel Walker lost to Miss Porter’s School on Wednesday, May 13th with a score of 6-13. Defensive player Jazmine Restituyo ‘27, was out with an injury. Walker’s had a strong start, with the first two goals of the game scored by Ivy Lea-Simons ‘28, and Luna A. ‘30. Porter’s fought back, and ended the first quarter ahead. Walker’s defense struggled in the opening minutes of the second quarter, but was able to adjust and run a more successful line towards the end of the half. Emma Alcoff ‘27, scored the third goal for Walker’s. In the third quarter, Julia Coviello ‘29, had several shots on the goal, and was able to score with just a couple of minutes left. In the last quarter, Sam Class ‘28, and Ashley Smith ‘28, had some key groundball plays. The final two goals for Walker’s were scored by Ivy Lea-Simons ‘28, and Luna A. ‘30. Although a tough loss, Walker’s really showed how much they grew as a team through the season, including better communication, field awareness, and skill level.
