Ethel Walker fell to Westover on Wednesday, April 2nd in the first game of the season. It was a cold and windy day, but Walker’s came out with a strong start in the first quarter, and led Westover 2-0. While Westover managed to score in the second quarter, Walker’s still led at the end of the half. Gianna Harris-Jurewicz ‘27 and Amelia Hamel ‘28 each scored three goals. Westover’s offense made a comeback in the third quarter, but goalie Rebecca Dai ‘27 defended some difficult penalty shots. Unfortunately, Walker’s was unable to come back from several last minute goals in the fourth quarter. The team had a great showing for their first game, and the coaches are excited to see the team’s growth this season.
