Game Summary

Our Senior Game saw Walker’s take on a talented Williston team. The game was tied on three different occasions and it was a back and forth affair for most of the 70 minutes. Gabby M. ’31 levelled for Walker’s after going 1-0 down and then again, almost immediately from kick-off after going into the half at 2-1 down. Wendy Qiu ’28. put Walker’s 3-2 ahead from a fast sweeping move on the right wing and a cross flashed across the face of the Williston goal but our opponents were again level from the penalty spot. With 10 minutes to play Luna A.’30 put Walker’s 4-3 ahead and then with 2 minutes to play, Captain Livi Samaraweera ’26. playing in her final home game at Walker’s sealed the deal with a calmly taken penalty.
