What a fantastic, nail-biting match! Ethel Walker was excited to compete with sister school Miss Porter’s at their home courts. Our girls played fantastic! Sophie Martinelli ’25, Lexi Donshik ’24, and Amy Yu’ 25 battled it out until they secured three wins for Walkers. During the final two points of San De Min’s ’22match, it became clear to us that her match our be the deciding factor in whether or not we left with a victory or defeat. However, San De pushed herself physically, mentally, and emotionally. She refused to give up and took the match several points past 11. Everyone watching was on the edge of their seats, and our team cheered for her loudly between points. Finally, after playing for almost forty-five minutes, San De won her match and the match for Walkers. We returned to campus buzzing with excitement and cannot wait to play Porter’s again on our home courts in February.
