We are thrilled to invite you to join us for the fourth edition of our year-long speaker series titled Understanding the Whole Child: A Walker’s Parent Education Series. Inspired by our School values, and anchored by the community of experts assembled at the School, we developed the series in an effort to equip Walker’s families with knowledge and tools to best support their students throughout their Walker’s journey. Each session will include both a presentation and an opportunity for questions and answers.
The next session will be devoted to Understanding Adolescent Mental Health and the Importance of Relationships in Building Resilience. In this session, we will discuss some of the most common mental health issues we see in adolescents, the underlying causes, the role the School can play in helping students and parents navigate this challenging time in a young person’s life, and how you can utilize your relationships with your child to increase their resilience and improve their future.
