Walker’s looked rusty in the first half in Farmington on Wednesday afternoon, but used a stronger defensive effort and better decision-making on the offensive end to defeat Miss Porters 69-48. Walker’s was able to turn up the defensive intensity to start the second half on a 10-0 run, extending their halftime lead from 2 to 12. On the offensive end, Walker’s settled in against Porter’s 2-3 zone and got higher percentage looks on that end of the floor. It was a great all-around effort. Walker’s will welcome another strong opponent, NMH, to Simsbury on Saturday afternoon.
