Walker’s and Wilbraham & Monson have a history of tightly contested games, and on Wednesday afternoon it was no different. Both teams rely on gritty defense that makes offensive sets difficult for their opponents, and both teams played in this manner. Walker’s was able to take an early lead and bring an 8 point lead into the half. WMA fought hard, as always, and cut into the lead in the fourth quarter, but Walker’s was able to lock down defensively in the final few minutes to secure the win. Majo Escobar ’22 led the way in the win, scoring 24 points and icing the game from the free-throw line down the stretch.
