Our second game of the season took us down the road, on another hot Saturday, where we faced Westminster School, a team that had finished in second place in the Founders League last year. Despite the formidable opponent and the blistering conditions, our team delivered a remarkable defensive performance.
Westminster managed to score once in each of the first three quarters, but our defense held strong in the fourth quarter, preventing any further goals. Abby Spencer ‘27, our goalkeeper, was phenomenal with 26 saves, earning her the Player of the Game title. Her resilience and skill kept us in the game and showcased our team’s defensive capabilities.
The game highlighted our team’s heart and determination. We played with a growth mindset, leaving it all on the field and playing cohesively. This performance is a solid foundation as we look forward to the rest of the season, knowing we have the drive and talent to build on.
