Game Summary
On Wednesday afternoon, The Ethel Walker School’s varsity soccer team traveled to Brookline, MA to take on a tough perennial NEPSAC Class B opponent in Dexter Southfield. The home team came away with a 5-0 victory on the day as both teams opened their season.
At halftime, Walker’s was down 1-0 and had been outshot 10-1 in the first half. Emma Mazur ’27 was on her way to a big day in the net for the visitors as she recorded four saves in the first half. She would finish the afternoon with 10 saves to her name and a 66% save percentage.
Next on the schedule for Walker’s are three Founder’s League opponents. On Saturday, the WIldcats will travel down the road to take on Loomis before hosting Hotchkiss and Kent next week. Saturday’s contest in Windsor is scheduled for a 3:00 kick-off.
