The Varsity went into the game down players and went up against a talented Greens Farms Team. Playing more than half of the game down two players, the team went to halftime down just 2-0. The second half saw the sterling effort continue but the energy level fell as the team had to play down 1 or 2 players for the entire half. The game ended up a 5-0 win for Greens Farms. EWS played very well in the face of tough odds, keeping better defensive shape and playing well in the midfield. The team simply could not finish any of their chances, though they were rare. Jenna Hamel ’25, the keeper for EWS, had a brilliant game, making save after save. She finally succumbed to an injury with less than three minutes left. Both coaches agreed to call the game at that point. The team showed remarkable character during the game and the result is not a true reflection of the team’s ability or promise!
