Soccer (Varsity)
vs. St. George School

Game Summary

On Sunday afternoon, The Ethel Walker School’s varsity soccer team traveled to Suffield Academy to take on St. George’s School in the inaugural MAP Prep Girls’ Showcase. St. George’s scored three goals in the first half en route to a 4-1 victory in this clash between two NEPSAC Class B opponents.

The game was back and forth for much of the first half with the wind at St. George’s back, but momentum changed when Walker’s missed a penalty with the score 2-0. St. George’s scored their third goal of the afternoon less than three minutes later.

Jazmine Restituyo ’27 scored the lone goal of the game for the Wildcats on a breakaway after a great pass from Sawyar Fleming ’28. It was Restituyo’s first goal this fall and fourth of her career at Walker’s since she joined last fall. For Fleming, it was her second assist in as many games in her first season in Simsbury.

Walker’s will return to action on Wednesday, September 30th when they host Berkshire in another Class B affair. Kick-off is scheduled for 3:00.
