vs. Suffield Academy

Walker’s traveled to Suffield to take on a strong Class B opponent on Saturday afternoon. Suffield jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, scoring 2 in the bottom of the first inning. Walker’s scored 2 of their own in the top of the 5th inning. Walker’s had chances to score after getting their lead-off batter to second with 0 outs in both the 6th and the 8th inning, but they were unable to capitalize in either inning. Suffield took advantage of Walker’s missed opportunities and used a Walker’s error and a passed ball to put a runner on 3rd with 0 outs in the bottom of the 8th inning. A safety squeeze scored the winning run, and Walker’s was on the wrong side of a close game for the second time in the young season.
