Game Summary

Ethel Walker fell to Berkshire Academy in four sets on Wednesday, October 8th (19-25, 23-25, 25-21, 13-25). Walker’s had a bit of a slow start in the first set, but Maddie Stirt ‘27, was able to bring up the energy with a serving run midway through the set. Walker’s carried that momentum into the second set, where they went point for point with Berkshire. Outside hitter Yihan Chen ‘27, had five kills in the second set, and setter Ashley Fontanella ‘29 had five digs. In the third set, hitters Maddie Stirt ‘27 and Lianna Salamone ‘26 had great serving runs, and middle hitter Asia Alston ‘28, had two blocks. Walker’s struggled with some unforced hitting errors in the fourth set that made it difficult to keep their momentum, and were unable to close the gap. Yihan Chen ‘27, led the team with 11 kills, and libero Rachel Lui ‘27, had 22 digs.
