vs. Millbrook School

Game Summary

Ethel Walker won against the Millbrook School on Friday, October 17th in five exciting sets (25-14, 23-25, 25-17, 28-30, 15-9). It was Family Weekend, and there was a great turnout of students and families. Thank you for your support! In the first set, senior captain Violet Tran ‘26 had a fantastic serving run of 10 points. In the second set, Walker’s had a slow start, leading to an eight point gap mid-way through the set. Joon Mulcahy ‘26 had a late game serving run, but Walker’s could not close the gap. In the third set, middle hitter Asia Alston ‘28 had several kills and blocks, helping to secure a second win for Walker’s. In the fourth set, the game went to overtime as Walker’s and Millbrook went point for point. Unfortunately, serving errors ended the set in Millbrook’s favor. In the final set, outside hitter Maddie Stirt ‘27 had a six point serving run, including two aces. It was a great win for Walker’s, and showed that the team could persevere through challenging games.
