Ethel Walker was victorious over the Frederick Gunn School in a nail-biter match of five sets (25-14, 25-23, 21-25, 28-30, 15-1) on Friday, October 25th. Walker’s began with a moment of silence to honor the victims and survivors of breast cancer. There was a huge huge turnout from the Walker’s community and everyone was dressed in pink. Walker’s started off strong in the first set with kills by Taelor Arnold ‘27 and Liana Salamone ‘26. They continued their streak with a serving run in the second set by Yihan Chen ‘27. Walker’s struggled with serve-receive part way through the third set and was unable to close the gap. Gunn and Walker’s were neck-and-neck in the fourth set, which went to overtime. In the fifth set, Maddie Stirt ‘27 had a massive serving run of 14 points, leading Walker’s to victory.
