Game Summary

Ethel Walker won against Westminster School on Wednesday, October 29th in five exciting sets (25-8, 19-25, 25-17, 23-25, 15-5). It was senior night, and Walker’s celebrated their five seniors, along with the senior managers. Walker’s had a strong start to the first set, where all seniors started. Rachel Lui ‘27 had a serving run of 5 points, including 3 aces, and Lily Seto ‘26 had a serving run of 9 points. In the second set, Walker’s had a strong start, but then struggled in serve-receive. In the third set, Walker’s was down at the start, came back late in the match with a serving run from Rachel Lui ‘27, leading Walker’s to win the set. In the fourth set, Walker’s was down once again until late in the match, where Lily Seto ‘26 served for 9 straight points to tie the game. Walker’s brought that momentum into the final set, where outside hitter Yihan Chen ‘27 had several kills that helped seal the win for Walker’s.
