Fall 2019 Horse Show Results

Read more for individual equestrian results from recent shows including the National Horse Show, New England Equitation Finals and IEA.

National Horse Show October 25-27

Ava Strohmeyer ’21 placed second in the 14-15 Equitation on the flat, and eleventh overall in the Hamel Foundation NHS Medal Final out of 161 riders.

Julia Luciani ’20 placed seventh in the 16-17 Equitation over fences.

Both Upper and Middle School teams placed first.

Shallowbrook Farm IEA October 20

Walker’s Upper School team placed first and the Middle School team placed third.

New England Equitation Finals October 16-20

Maddie Olvert ’21 placed eighth in the 3′ Rider for NEEC Final and ninth in the Open Equitation 15-17 Over Fences.

Ava Strohmeyer ’21 placed fifth in the Open Equitation Over Fences 15-17.

Seven Walker’s riders competed at the New England Equitation Championship this year: Janet Hedges ’21, Quinn Bailey ’21, Chloe Fares ’24, Julia Luciani ’20, Grace Sappington ’24, Maddie Olvert ’21 and Ava Strohmeyer ’21.

On Campus USEF Horse Show October 5

Yujean Kim was Champion in Pre-Children’s Hunters.

Maddie Olvert ’21 won the THIS Medal & USHJA Jumping Seat Medal.

Ava Strohmeyer ’21 won the USEF Talent Search & ASPCA Maclay.

Skyla White ’23 was Champion in the Junior Equitation.

Anngelina Morton ’25 was Champion in the Children’s Equitation.

Paris Levy was Reserve Champion in the Junior Equitation.

Janet Hedges ’21 won the Dover Saddlery/USEF Medal.

Quinn Bailey ’21 placed second in the THIS Medal and NEHC Medal.

Emma Edelman ’26 was Reserve Champion in Pre-Children’s Equitation.

Chloe Fares ’24 placed second in the NHS Hamel Foundation Medal.

Hannah Theriault ’20 placed second in the Junior Equitation and third in the NEHC Medal.

Capital Challenge Horse Show September 27-29

Ava Strohmeyer ’21 placed seventh over fences in the 15-Year-Old Equitation and had a top 20 finish in the USHJA Jumping Seat Medal Final.

Julia Luciani placed seventh over fences in the 16-Year-Old Equitation

On Campus Combined Test September 15

Abby McRavey ’20 placed sixth in Beginner Novice.
