Earlier this spring, Walker’s juniors and seniors participated in the Harvard Alumni for Global Women’s Empowerment annual essay contest which invited students to think critically about the status and rights of women. This year’s question was “What is the biggest challenge facing women and girls in your country today?”
Four seniors were honored including: winners Isabel Lardner ’18 and Marion Carr ’18 with Theresa Jo ’18 and Kate Zhang ’18 earning honorable mentions. This is the third year of the contest and the first time that an American school has been invited to participate.
