Honors Biochemistry Students Earn Top Spots in Antibiotic Awareness Campaign

Walker’s took the top two prizes in the high school category of Tiny Earth Network’s 2018 November Antibiotic Awareness Campaign. Stephanie Makowski ’19 won first place for an antibiotic awareness board game. Lily Johnson ’19, Kay Lawlor ’20 and Sabrina Gries ’21 won second prize for their antibiotic awareness bake sale.

Walker’s is among only five high schools in the United States invited to participate in the Tiny Earth Network (TEN), an innovative program formulated at Yale University that encourages students to pursue careers in science through hands-on experience and real-world laboratory and field research.
